Diocesan Policies for All Who Serve in Ministry
We welcome your time and service at our parish. The Diocese of Charlotte has adopted policies and procedures to safeguard those whose care has been entrusted to us. All our volunteers are required to follow these policies and procedures.
Recommended: set up an account at Virtus.org. Please note that Virtus is only compatible with Google Chrome or Internet Explorer and must be completed on desktop or laptop computer (not on a smart phone or tablet). Through this website you fill out all the required forms which are as follows (if you perfer paper form):

Code of Ethics Form
Sexual Misconduct Form
The background check must be renewed every 5 years, if your background check has expired please contact the parish secretary to receive a prompt in your virtus account to activate the background check.
ALL VOLUNTEERS: Take the Protecting God's Children Training. If your ministry involves children you must complete the one-time training. In order to keep your certification current you MUST complete the monthly Virtus "bulletin" quizzes and annual re-certification quiz you will receive by email.
Remaining compliant with the Diocesan Safe Environment Policies and Procedures is vital to keeping your Virtus account active. The accounts will go inactive if the background check is not up to date and or if you have not been reading the monthly bulletins.

Pólizas diocesanas para todos los que sirven en el ministerio
Se les agradece su tiempo y servicio en nuestra parroquia. La Diócesis de Charlotte ha adoptado pólizas y procedimientos para la protección de aquellos cuyo cuidado nos ha sido confiado. Se requiere que todos nuestros voluntarios sigan estas pólizas y procedimientos.
Recomendado: abrir una cuenta en Virtus.org. Toma en cuenta que Virtus solo es compatible con Google Chrome o Internet Explorer y debe completarse en una computadora de escritorio o portátil (no en un celular o tableta). A través de este sitio web, se completa todos los formularios requeridos, que son los siguientes (si prefiere el formulario en papel):

Formulario de verificación de antecedentes
Formulario de código de ética
Formulario de conducta sexual inapropiada
La verificación de antecedentes debe renovarse cada 5 años, si su verificación de antecedentes ha expirado, comuníquese con la secretaria de la parroquia para recibir un aviso en su cuenta de Virtus para activar la verificación de antecedentes.
TODOS LOS VOLUNTARIOS: Tomar el entrenamiento de Protección de los Niños de Dios. Si su ministerio involucra a niños, debe completar el entrenamiento que es requerido una sola vez. Para mantener actualizada su certificación, DEBE completar los cuestionarios mensuales del "boletín" de Virtus y el cuestionario anual de recertificación que recibirá por correo electrónico.
Cumplir con las Pólizas y Procedimientos Diocesanos de Ambiente Seguro es vital para mantener activa su cuenta Virtus. Las cuentas quedarán inactivas si la verificación de antecedentes no está actualizada o si no ha estado leyendo los boletines mensuales.
